The Tomorrowland Transit Authority is a Magic Kingdom family favorite. There is nothing to it but somehow a day in Magic Kingdom is not complete until we've ridden it. It takes you around and above the Tomorrowland area on a slow moving tram ride. It is relaxing, gives you view of Magic Kingdom that you don't get anywhere else and it never crowded. When I dream.....

When I can't sleep I dream of WDW. I remember all the places that I love and all the sweet smells that linger.

I walk down main street of Magic Kingdom and see the sight of the Castle and all my childhood memories engulf me. Like riding Small World with my Nana and then listen to her plead when my Geah wanted to ride Space Mountain even though it warned heart patients away. He always rode it anyway.

I visit Epcot and imagine someday of walking the real streets of Italy and France. I remember the first time that Crush talked to audience from the screen, and first time riding Soarin' when the audience all applauded at the conclusion of the ride.

I hit the streets of Hollywood Studios and am transported to a time when Garland and Garbo ruled the screen. My inner actress gets caught up in the music and the pretense of an era gone by.

And Animal Kingdom carries you to other cultures and places. As the imprints of leaves and footprints are left like fossils in the walkways and the smells and sounds take you to far away reaches of Africa and Asia.

And now when I dream of all the wonder of WDW and the magic of my past trips I also get to imagine the fun and excitement of sharing it with friends for the first time. I may never sleep again for all the anticipation that I feel. I hope you are beginning to feel it too.

My Favorite in Epcot

This is my favorite Epcot ride. It is so amazing. It is like you are hand gliding without any of the danger. You get to see all the sights of California but while you are in Florida. Too Cool.

You'll need a BIG road

Which Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is home to the HUGE big wheel? This version of the 1970's icon can accommodate a child weighing up to 877 pounds.

The four Theme Parks at the Walt Disney World Resort all opened in different years.
Can you tell me which year each park opened?

Jim was taking pictures of these production people taking photos and video of the people who were competing in Amer Idol Experience that day. While taking photos they actually took video of him taking photos and we got to see it on the big screen while in the theatre for the competition. Too Cool. He's always in the right place at the right time.
Don't forget to get caught up on any of the questions you might have missed last week before the new ones for this week.

Toy Story Midway Mania.

Jim asked me lately why I like this ride so much? My answer was that I find it so creative. It is so much fun to see how far technology has taken us. The music is fun the themeing (a Disney word) as you wait is completely nostalgic and it takes me back to my childhood. Of course the most important reason that I like Toy Story Mania is that there is the absolute chance that I might actually score higher than Jim. May be you can ride with me and try to beat me!
Here's the link to check out all the particulars.

This Day in History

On December 5, 1901, Walter Elias Disney was born.
"You can design and create, and build the most wonderful place in the world. But it takes people(like the Spears and the Smiths) to make the dream a reality." --Walt Disney(mostly anyway)

Hidden Mickeys

I found both of these Hidden Mickeys just last night. One is on the window of Peachwave, and the other was sitting on the Steen's living room shelf. Have you found any new ones lately? Go ahead and post some of yours.
