Monday's Magical Moments
Part one-
Blogged here.
How could it be that its been one month?
Leave a comment with one memory.
It is Monday after all!
Third time's a charm ... Was it delicious? Oui oui!
Two weeks ago tonight we had the most amazing french pastries. Quiche, napoleons, ham & cheese croissants ... and how could we forget chocolate mousse!
Edit ... it is now three weeks ago tonight. I tried to post the photos again. Did it work this time?
Okay ... now it has been 4 weeks! I am trying the photos one more time.
Is it working?

When Jim was writing about the themeing of Animal Kingdom it made me want to make this my Thursday attraction. This ride is the most themed ride ever. You almost want to wait in the whole queue just so you can discover all the amazing details that the Imagineers have planted here. All of us should even walk through the line even if some take the last minute exit.
For more details check out the description here.

Details
Very few people who visit WDW leave disappointed. However, there are also very few people who leave having taken notice of the real magic that surrounds them every step through the experience. When Walt Disney created Disneyland, he found himself disappointed by the area surrounding the park that was a constant reminder to guests of the "real world". When he started purchasing land in Florida for his new endeavor he did so with the idea that everything a guest encountered would lend toward an experience of being transported to a different world. This goal has remained a constant in the vision for the parks to this day. And it is an effort that truly separates the experience at WDW from other theme and amusement parks.
Disney's Animal Kingdom is one of my favorite places to see this attention to detail. Everything you look at, hear, smell or touch communicates that you are in a place that has been there for a very long time. One small example is shown in the photo with this post. Notice how the signage doesn't look shiny and new but instead looks like it's been directing travelers for a hundred years or more.
Autographs?
I want to know what you want most! Your opinion matters.
Do you want to have autographs on ...
* t-shirt
*autograph book
* baseball hat/visor
*pillowcase
*picture frame mat
I don't think that everyone has to have the same thing. What do you want most? What do you want to have to remember this trip when we get home?

An oldie but semi-goodie
This is one of those never-dying park institutions. It has a terrible loading queue. It loads sooo slowly. It gives you a feeling of out of control driving. It speeds at a crawl. But it is a park favorite. It is having some rerouting construction at the moment so it may or may not be a possibilty for this trip. It does make a great photo op.

We love this totally outdated and cheezy ride. It is a pun-filled adventure. The "captain" of your boat can make or break your experience. We usually hit a great "captain" but one year the Chinese castmembers were in WDW for training and they were trying to deliver the pun-filled spiel and I will have to say that it was lost in translation. It provided a totally new way for us to make fun of this outdated ride. You can read more about it here.
